On the way to work one day Paul Geddes was stopped by a policeman doing a routine check.
Earlier in the day someone had asked him what to call the beer. As the police man was checking his documents he pondered about the question and them came up with the name “Red Stripe” after the red stripe running down the side of the local police uniform.
