      RED STRIPE: 100 years of history

      1918

      Eugene Desnoes and Thomas Geddes form D&G Ltd.

      1927

      Surrey Brewery opened on Pechon Street.

      1928

      The first Red Stripe beer (ale) was brewed.

      1934

      Red Stripe liquid recipe since 1934.

      1958

      The old Surrey brewery phased out - Hunt's Bay goes into operation.

      1970

      D&G Ltd becomes a publicly traded company.

      1971

      Red Stripe stubby bottle introduced.

      1993

      Controlling interests acquired by Guinness Brewing Worldwide, which later became DIAGEO.

      2013

      CBL established as Red Stripe and Pepsi RTC.

      2015

      HEINEKEN acquires majority shares.

      2017

      Line 8 launched for the export market.

      2018

      Red Stripe celebrates 100 years.
